SUMMARY: The Safe Center is seeking to hire a clinician who has experience working with children and families. Our Children's Mental Health Program provides trauma-focused mental health services to children ages 0-18 (and their non-offending family members) who have been impacted by domestic/dating violence, sexual abuse, and commercial sexual exploitation. Services are also provided for young children with problematic sexual behaviors.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Phone outreach & screening for services
- Clinical assessment
- Crisis intervention & suicide risk assessment
- Individual & family therapy
- Parent guidance & support
- Support group facilitation
- Advocacy, case management, & referral
- Collaboration with multi-disciplinary team members and other professionals
- Master’s in Social Work, Creative Arts Therapy, Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or equivalent
- NY State licensure or eligible for limited permit
- Commitment to a strengths-based approach
- Clinical experience with children and families required
- Diagnostic clinical experience required
- Experience working with survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence strongly preferred
- Training in play therapy, expressive arts interventions, and family therapy strongly preferred
- Experience with Article 31 outpatient clinic services and electronic medical records a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Full-time, non-exempt (35 hours per week)
- Weekly LCSW supervision
- Evening hours required
- Includes medical, dental, vision benefits

- Annual salary: $50,000-$55,000
